Starting the New Year with a Bang

THREE! TWO! ONE!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year everybody!  I hope the year finds you in great spirits and an even better situation.

This cap for me was just an attempt to have an 'event' cap.  I'm always jealous of those cappers that have Christmas or Valentines Day or other caps to go up on the big day.  While I wasn't really in the mood to write I figured I could at least come up with a quick New Year's obscura.  I even had a basic idea that could work with most images of a beautiful woman.... a couple find out that each year they get to make a wish that comes true on January 1st.  If the writing caught me, I could go into more depth of previous wishes that might show up in the image.  An example would be if the image were inside a beautiful room, one of their previous wishes could have been for a large well appointed home.  I even had an idea of a title;  Happy New Year Darling.  The reason that would work is that the guy in the cap would always wish his wife/girlfriend that salutation, but this year it's her who wishes him a happy new year by calling him Darling.

I know, it's corny.  But it would work for a 'Happy New Year' obscura.  I didn't, however, find any image that I thought was good enough for an obscura by using Google Image Search, which is still my go to way to find a generic beautiful woman picture.  So I edited the idea a bit into them having sex and started looking at Fuskator.  I looked at several lesbian galleries before coming across one whose thumbnail was two women getting fucked by two big black guys.  I immediately recognized the image as one from Blacked.com and know that they have quality images, so I clicked through already internally editing the wish to them having sex together... and it turning into him changing to a woman and them having sex together with two big studs.

Well it turns out that particular image was of three women and their expressions didn't quite fit the tone I was going for.  And instead of it being a series of images from that particular image set, all of the images were of one offs from a lot of different Blacked.com galleries.  I didn't find anything in that gallery, but there was three or four in a row that were the same thing; one off images from Blacked.com.  Now while I'm not a particular fan of the 'Big Black Cock' style of porn, nor am I a fan of the sissy being made into a black cock whore, I do recognize that there are those out there.  And more than that, I can appreciate the photographs for what they are... in this instance a beautiful woman giving a blowjob.  It doesn't matter that the guy is black.  It would be the same image in my mind if he were white or some other race.

But when I saw this image I thought of a tongue in cheek scenario where a wife/girlfriend tells her dressed up husband/boyfriend that he'll meet a tall long stranger and he takes it as a tall dark stranger.  I chuckled to myself and went on to looking at other images, but I kept the gallery up because of a different image:

The look on the face and her hand on his cock just made me think of the wish "I wish I knew what it was to have a big long cock in my hand."  Again, I knew it was corny but it was chuckle worthy so I kept it up and figured I'd come back to it.

After looking at dozens of galleries I came back to the 'in my hand' pic and took a longer look.  I couldn't quite get the wish to work out though.  I mean, if I was wishing to have a big cock, I'd wish for just that.  A big cock.  So this didn't work.  I only had one other gallery up and while the images didn't work for this new years idea, it would make a good story (I'm being vague because I might make it an obscura eventually.  It's too long of an idea to be a cap).  So I looked through the images of this gallery again and came to the image I eventually picked.

I sat back a moment to see if I could make this work.  I let everything else just go and focused on New Years.  I focused on why this guy would be dressed up as a woman, kneeling between this guy's legs, giving him a blowjob.  I kind of liked the idea of it being a couple, so that stayed.  Maybe she was helping him live out a femme fantasy.  And maybe she was even a domme... or better yet they were both exploring their fantasies and she was trying to be a domme and he was trying to be passable as a woman.  That would cover why he looked so good as a woman as he'd have a lot of practice.  But if they're a loving couple, then I don't want her to put him into a situation where he can have that feeling that I tend to go for... that "Oh no, it's gone all wrong, and I'm stuck, and the only way out is to give this blow job which I don't want to do but I have to do!!!"

Hey, don't look at me like that.  If you didn't like that idea at least a little you probably wouldn't be hanging out at my blog!

So the basic premise worked, but I'd have to make it a scenario gone wrong.  And I still wanted to tie it to New Years.  AND for whatever reason, I wanted it to be cross dressing and not magic or a body suit or VR.  Then the 'tall dark stranger' line came back.  That's something I see written a lot for all kinds of men and not necessarily specifically referring to black men.  But if my loving wife told me to look out for a tall dark stranger who was going to treat me like a lady and a tall black man tapped me on my shoulder and asked me out, I'd assume that this was the guy my wife set up for me.

YAY!

At that point it was easy enough to line up the other details.  It's her company's New Years Eve Party and it's important to her career (he can't fuck it up later that way by just walking out), it's a drag party (I actually saw an add for a real drag New Year's Eve party), and then all the delicious little details of them dancing and kissing and moving up to his room.  I could have, at any point in this writing, gone into far FAR more detail.  That's what I am more often than not doing with my obscuras and letting them become mini stories.  But with this image and the space provided, I figured if I could just keep this shorter I'd be able to make it into a cap and not just an obscura.

When I noticed I'd used the term 'with a bang' twice I thought about changing one but then figured it could be 'on purpose' (it wasn't) and I could make that the title, and I was ready to move into the cap making process.  The first thing was to lay out the text.  I figured that I could go down one side and that would only cover up her ponytail and shoulder, but once I put the text there and made it all fit, it just didn't come across as big enough.  The text wasn't big enough... you're mind is in the gutter and I like it, but we're on to design now so let's focus.

So I couldn't jsut have the text along the one side.  I'd need to stretch it along the bottom.  I figured that would work so long as I didn't extend the text box above his thigh.  When I did that all the way across the image and made the text the right size it ALMOST fit.  I ended up deleting a few lines along the way that didn't give more to the story and were just some of those little fun details.  Once it fit I put the text box behind it, lined up the text (the lower right paragraphs are actually a seperate text box, so it took a bit to make sure the lines matched up exactly), and then noticed that her face, and more precisely her full mouth, wasn't lined up in the remaining space all that well.  There was too much empty space to the right of her face:

I know it's only a little thing and most people probably wouldn't notice.  Hell, I could always fake ignorance and point out that the 'cock' was lined up in the remaining space.  But that wasn't going to work for me.  The story wasn't about the cock, it was about our heroine being in a situation where she had to suck a cock.  SHE was the subject and the cock was just an object.  So I moved the image over a bit to the right and left a big glaring open white space:

So her face was lined up better, but now I had the glaring blank space on the right side.  It had taken me forever to get the text lined up so there's no way I was going to try and just shrink it down.  And while the empty space inside the curtains might work, her arm most certainly was going to be noticed.  I tried the clone tool in Photoshop, and while I could make it work a bit, it was clear early on that it was going to be a bastard to make ti look anywhere near acceptable.  The curtains were easy, but the lines on her top were just too much.

So instead of focusing on that, I copied the left hand side of the image, pasted it into it's own layer, and then stretched it out.  I had to do a little copying at her elbow and on her cuff, but I think it filled the space well enough that when covered by the text box and text it would work:

Obviously this is nowhere near the work I've put into some of my other caps.  But I've learned that in my continued (and probably continual) rusty state, I can't hope for something new or dramatic.  I need to just be happy when it comes out okay.
