A Weekend To Remember

A whole weekend of memories!

I don't know what's going on, but I'm certainly not going to complain.  I just finished making this cap... a mere hour after finishing "Perfect Weapon".  And no... this isn't the other cap I was working on earlier!!

I was on a pretty good high after finishing the last cap so I wandered over to Fuskator to see if I could rip out a nice quick cap.   And when I saw this image set, I just knew there was a story here.  Especially in this particular image.  The quick story that I got was a man trapped in a body suit... a body suit that not only made him physically into a cute sexy girl, but one that made him want to have sex with his room mate.  The room mate was kind enough to help him, but knew that there was no way he'd last all weekend without having sex.

The idea was striking and I figured I could make a nice cap that focused on the heroine's longing and fighting of her new feelings.   On a whim I went back to Rachel's Haven to see who else I owed, figuring that at this early stage I might be able to bend this a little by adding in someone's preferences and make them a nice cap.   Well lo and behold, Steph_2266 was next up and the only direct thing she lists under her preferences are bodysuits!

!!!

So I tossed the image into Photoshop, fired up some songs on iTunes that would help me with that longing feeling and got to writing.  Here are a few songs that were on my playlist while I wrote:

 Guns N' Roses - Patience

Norah Jones - Dont' Know Why

U2 - In A Little While

UB40 - Red Red Wine

Those are just a sampling of what I had cued up.  They all helped me keep focused on her fighting against the feelings that she had, and slowly losing that battle.  I kind of left it open as to what she would feel and think... the only thing I didn't want to do was have her act on any of her impulses.  I wanted the ending to be her starting to wonder if she actually wanted to fight.

Maybe I'm still on a creative high, but I'm very happy with this one.  I did have to do some editing to get the text boxes to line up right, but it all still fit the mood when I originally wrote it.  And the photo was perfect... no need for text boxes or even an overly fancy title... just the image and the story.  The only issue I had to 'correct' was the focus.  I'm not sure if it was intentional, but the actual point of focus in the photo was closer to her belly... her face was ever so slightly out of focus.  So I pulled out an old trick;  copy the layer, give it a big fat blur, reduce it's opacity to that it would give the whole photo a soft focus, then erase the area around her face, leaving it the sharpest point.

Hope both Steph and all of you other readers out there enjoy it at least half as much as I do!

  1. Dear Caitlyn,

The answer to the final question is "no," unquestionably. What a visually appealing caption! And the story is equally compelling. I think this is the best of the last three, although i love the others as well.

    Hugs,

  2. Very nice and squirmy. I'm glad your muse stuck around for a second cap!
