Guitar Heroine

Just wait till you and your friends get the Kinect version!

Not much to say about this one.  I normally backtrack the caps that I don't recall much about by looking at the subjects preferences on the haven,  But in this case Becky has changed her prefs.  I am fairly sure that she mentioned liking play station games.... or maybe it was guitar hero specifically.  I just don't remember.

Although I will mention how hard it is to find a sexy girl playing with a computer or game system game.  Not just holding the controller, or wearing some game t-shirt... actually playing the game.  Whew... I remember the long search.

Funny story about my music selection on this.  I have been a fan of all sorts of music for as long as I can remember.  But one thing I am not a fan of is lyrics.  I look at the singer as just part of the music.  If their voice can carry the melody of the song without knowing what the words are.... that is just fine with me.

So I find myself online looking for new music.  I was living in an area with no broadband options at the time so I was dialed up with my 56k modem trying to listen to snips of songs on iTunes.  I had recently gotten into Garbage, and was searching their entire catalog looking for a song of theirs that I liked, but didn't have.   The only one that I liked and didn't have was 'Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go)'.  So I downloaded it and starting blaring it out of any set of speakers I could find.  Home, car, work... everywhere.

After recieving some odd looks, I decided to check out the lyrics... I think they foretold some of my future desires:

She gave you everything she had
But she was young and dumb
She'd just turned twenty-one
She didn't care to hang around
So when the shit came down
Why she was nowhere to be found
This life can turn a good girl bad
She was the sweetest thing
That you had ever seen

You're such a delicate boy
In the hysterical realm
Of an emotional landslide
In physical terms

With your cherry lips and golden curls
You could make grown men gasp
When you'd go walking past them
In your hot pants and high heels
They could not believe
That such a body was for real
It seemed like rainbows would appear
Whenever you came near the clouds would disappear
Because you looked just like a girl
Your baby blues would flash
And suddenly a spell was cast

You're such a delicate boy
In the hysterical realm
Of an emotional landslide
In physical terms

You hold a candle in your heart
You shine the light on hidden parts
You make the whole world wanna dance
You bought yourself a second chance

Go Baby Go Go
We're right behind you
Go baby Go Go
Yeah we're looking at you
Go baby Go Go
Aw we're right behind you
Go Baby
Go Baby
Yeah right behind you
Go baby
Go Baby
Aw we're right behind you
Go Baby
Go Baby
Yeah we're looking at you
Go Baby
Go Baby
Aw we're right behind you
Go Baby
Go Baby
Yeah we're looking at you

You hold a candle in your heart
Go Baby Go Go
You shine the light on hidden parts
Go Baby Go Go
You make the whole world wanna dance
Go Baby Go Go
You bought yourself a second chance
Go Baby Go Baby Go

You're such a delicate boy
Go Baby Go Baby Go
In the hysterical realm
Go Baby Go Baby Go
Of an emotional landslide
Go Baby Go Baby Go
In physical terms
Go Baby Go Go

Go

Yeah we're looking at you
Go Baby Go Go
Aw we're right behind you

Sounds like the text out of a cap!

  1. I've used lyrics many times in captions, usually as part of an iBod plot line. Courtney Love and Hole have quite a few songs that work well, like the one by Garbage that you sited.

It wouldn't shock me either is Kurt was a crossdresser. Courtney Love was into that sort of thing, having married Falling James from the Leaving Trains a few years before Kurt.

  2. I once made a caption using a video game as the source of change and had to alter pictures for them to fit. It turned out ok, but I understand your pain for the search.

As much as I've listened to Garbage, I've never looked up the lyrics for that song. Gives a whole new meaning.
